Thirteen To Darkness: Part I

The Rescue of Lani Chet:

I was pleased at how part one of thirteen went. It really was supposed to be Amaroth's tale, so sorry if I didn't give all of you the equilalent of something around 2K RPG points...or whatever it ended up being. I just thought after all this time Amaroth should be at least 200 CP. Cool?

As for the game, it wen't essentially how I thought it would. I had different outcomes for the different ways to come through. The toughest way was through the forest. There was about 200 CP of baddies in there to fight. I think it was played well though.

I'm glad you guys got to play some secondary characters as well.

The confrentation with Podacter didn't go how I thought though. Amaroth found "Strad's back door" on that one. I had all the levels of the castle with all sorts of guys to fight along the way. One thing you would have found, and I forgot to tell you all, is that the King would have been in his throne room. He was a raised Zombie and all though. That officially puts Princess katharine as Queen Katharine. Anyone want to be her King?

In the few days you spent there cleaning up the joint, you got to know her a bit as well as Lian and her knights. Lian stayed back for a few to help out with the rebuilding process.

One thing that is on Amaroth's mind though is that there was no reason why Podacter couldn't have or didn't kill him. ???

Anyways...Hope you guys liked part I. Part II is going well so far...sorry I had to cut it for time. 2 AM was a bit late for me though.

How does wood get so hard?

Menzies and I bought the wood for the Archival tables today.

We got a few 2" x 4" x 8' planks for framing, some 4" x 4" x 8' posts for legs, a 8' x 4' sheet for one table, and a 2' x 4' sheet to add to the two we have to make a 6 ' x 4' wargaming table.

The total cost was $52.00

DS Beta Cards:

It looks like all of our Beta cards are up at the DS beta site.

http://dsbeta.blogspot.com/

Our Cards start with "Essence Strikes" and goes to "Combat Brothers" and then starts back up with "Ancestral Wisdom" and goes through "Prime Orc."

I hope I did a good job of dwindling down every one's ideas to 250 characters to fit on the cards. I'd say the hardest card was Disenchant.

I think all of the Orc cards will be "real" cards and probably "Flashdance Strike." Not sure about the Enchanter cards though. I was pretty much told that the two swords, ancestral wisdom, and the Essence cards are a no go for "real" guild approved, on-site cards...but we'll have em! I guess they may come out later if the appropriate set arises.
